The system of Movement that Writes is broken into two key sections: Upper body movement, and leg movement. Toki Pona sign language and classical Indian dancing influenced the choice to use hand shapes, which combine with arm movements to express the 120 words. Grammatical particles are optionally shown through the lower body. The design allows for a range of dynamic ways to explore each word, and the system is adaptable to various dance styles.
